Obesity has been an unending medical nightmare for man through the ages, especially in communities and societies where the standard of living is good enough. But in recent times, there seems to be a turn of events. What we are experiencing now looks like an obesity epidemic in children. And in most cases, we all seem to miss the point. Tip! Your heart has to work overtime to support the extra weight. Obesity has a harmful effect on your entire cardiovascular system.

Obesity, especially in the midriff, is the sluice gate for all health problems and is difficult to reduce. I am overweight, by that standard, and am heavy by 13kgs. Aggravating this problem, I met with an accident which had resulted in a spinal fracture near L-5 which pinched the nerves controlling the lower limbs. By sheer luck, I escaped and even after surgery, I continued to have sciatic pain on both limbs and was unable to bend and lift even small weights. I could not do any physical exercise and very soon, my stamina and energy had reduced and I used to get tired very soon. Joining this bandwagon of health problems, I contracted diabetes also which made things worse. My normal day to day functions were totally affected, till…

The general accept is that obesity is genetic. But the combination of obesity and its stability almost always equates increased questions related to ways to maintain a normal weight.

Stable obesity: When one is stable at a “set point” more then 20 lbs (more or less) above what is considered ideal for ones height and weight and finds it hard to lose (or gain, but who complains about that) away from that “set point”. It is my opinion (and everybody’s got one :) that many of these people would be better off where they are at then going to war with their bodies and screwing up their metabolisms.

What is the cause of obesity - Five Points Why Obesity Is Not Genetic

Tip! Type 2 Diabetes has been linked to obesity.

The most mainstream of medical journals are on-board with the idea that obesity is genetic.

But the points to disclaim this point of view are:

1) Our genetics have evolved to protect us from starvation, not an overabundance of food. It’s only been over the past 100 years that overweight has been seen in any great numbers, much less become a problem. In more ancient times, obese people were worshiped and admired because it meant that you had plenty of food.

Obesity - Is Being Extremely (Prevention of obesity) Overweight An Epidemic?

Tip! Consuming wheat products than rice products help to reduce obesity.

More often than not the answer to this question posed will be a “Yes”. An epidemic is a situation where by the disease grows and this disease is growing in couches and sofas. Obesity is spreading across the world. The people worst affected by this disease is the people of age group beyond forty. This is the group that is now ruling the world. The rest is a minuscule population. How is this becoming an epidemic? This is a state of mind. You are obese and infect the mind of the people who you are working with and are living with. The “don’t care” attitude about your body sets in. This is how it spreads. You are encouraging other people to take the simpler route out. Cut the roots. What are the roots? The roots are laziness, eating habit and living habits. Eating habits include consuming junk food, taking bites in between meals, living on street food and drinking beverages. You got the right to decide your life, provided you don’t infect others with your habits, but then don’t throw your life away.
